Complete reference for every keyboard shortcut in Riffwork. Press ? at any time to show this overlay inside the app.

Playback

`B`	Loop current bar (while playing)
`G`	Go to bar: opens prompt, type a bar number
`M`	Toggle metronome click
`F`	Toggle fullscreen
`Ctrl`+`]`	Jump to next section marker
`Ctrl`+`[`	Jump to previous section marker
`Shift`+`[`	Set A loop point at current bar
`Shift`+`]`	Set B loop point at current bar

Note Entry

Shortcut	Action
`0`–`9`	Enter fret number (type two digits quickly for frets 10+)
`A`–`G`	Enter note by pitch: places the note on the nearest string/fret in the current octave
`↑` / `↓`	Move to higher / lower string
`→` / `←`	Move to next / previous beat
`Alt`+`↑` / `↓`	Nudge selected note fret +1 / −1 (creates a note on empty beat)
`Ctrl`+`↑` / `↓`	Octave shift selected note up / down
`Shift`+`↑` / `↓`	Transpose entire bar ±1 semitone
`Shift`+`←` / `→`	Extend beat-range selection
`Enter` / `Tab`	Advance to next beat
`Del`	Delete selected note (or selection)
`Insert`	Add a note to the current beat on a second string
`Shift`+`Insert`	Insert an empty bar after the current bar
`R`	Insert rest beat
`.`	Toggle dotted note
`Alt`+`V`	Switch between Voice 1 and Voice 2

Techniques (requires selected note)

`H`	Toggle hammer-on / pull-off
`L`	Toggle let ring
`M`	Toggle palm mute
`S`	Cycle slide-out type (none → legato → shift → up → down)
`I`	Cycle slide-in type (none → from below → from above)
`V`	Cycle vibrato depth (none → slight → wide)
`T`	Tie note: continue pitch from previous beat
`D`	Cycle dynamics: ppp → pp → p → mp → mf → f → ff → fff (first press → mf)
`	Apply triplet (3:2) to selected beat and the next 2
`Shift`+`	Open tuplet picker (5, 6, or 7)

Bend amount, harmonics (NH/PH), and staccato are set via the buttons in the note editor toolbar. No keyboard shortcut. In edit mode, H/L/M/S/I/V/D override global functions (loop/sight-read/metro/etc.) and only apply to the selected note.

Quick Tuning & Transpose

Transpose to key	Generator panel → Transpose to Key → pick key → Apply

A-B Loop

Action	How
Set A point	`Shift`+`[` or Shift+click a Chord Chart cell
Set B point	`Shift`+`]` or Shift+click a Chord Chart cell
Clear loop	Click the loop indicator badge in the player bar
Save named loop	Loop Manager tab → Save Loop
Recall named loop	Loop Manager tab → ▶ next to loop name
